My Dress Talk
1)Do not try to match top & bottom of the same color together, ever! You may try to match contemporary colors or contrasting colors but not the SAME color. Unless you are to wear a dress, you should not try to match or buy a suit of the same color as it is of no taste! What I mean a dress is one piece, simple yet elegant.
2)Do not be dumb and try on clothes with design of horizontal lines. Unless you have a figure of Patricia Mok's and in that case you should not only wear clothes of horizontal stripes, you should further leather yourself in at least two layers of clothes. Just FYI, scrawny girls without figure are as bad as plump girls so eat more pleaseeee.
3)Do not wear long dress or long sleeve shirt. IMO, long dress is meant for either your wedding day or your prom night but not as a casual wear. Please invest in a middle length dress or a short skirt as long dress is just too 80s. Similiary, long sleeve might cover your flabby arms but the look is no class! So this faily wear is a no, no, NO!
4)Remember that you are wearing the clothes! Most of us know about our best feature and how to bring it out. If you have shapely legs, you will wear short skirt. However, this is too trivial to consider a real understanding of how to bring out the best of yourself. For instance, if you have nice boobs, you should not wear a low-cut clothes...too pretty, as you want attention to be drawn entirely on your...well cleavage.
5)Be natural in your second skin! Sometimes, we feel so frustrated when we cannot get the class looks of people on television or in magazine while some of us even have better looks. Later, I realise it is not about what we wear and when we wear it. It is all about how we carry ourselves in this piece of fabric. Therefore, chase your uneasiness and sulkiness away and do justice to your clothes by wear it confidently.
p/s I'm a learner and figure out about all these myself. I hope this journey of discovering the vision of art---dressing, can bring out a better me! Never afraid to make mistakes and take them as precious lessons.
